Studio Day Auction Piece

Many thanks to all who bid on the piece of glass. The auction has now ended and was successfully won by a collector with a fantastic sum of £390.00. IOWSG has rounded this amount up to £500.00 giving each of the charities £250.00 each.

As you will all of heard by now we had our very first 'Studio Day' on the 1st October 2006. It turned out to be a very successful day for all concerned. All of the comments and feedback from the collectors' and guests who attended the day were very positive and the day was enjoyed by all of the staff here.

During the day Timothy Harris made several items, demonstrating the different processes that are involved in making a piece of glass. One particular item was a piece from the 'Undercliff' Collection, a large (23cm ht - value £292.00) amphora shaped vase in 'Day' pictured on the left (click image for a larger picture).
