This set of 4 pieces is finishing today on Ebay USA - unfortunately the seller isn't posting internationally.  Read through Mark Hill's book and the only range the sounds right for it is Black Kyoto, or is it something else?

 Cheesy

From the price it raised, clearly somebody thinks they are something important!
I would tend to agree with you Suzy, Black Kyoto would probably be the best bet, but it would be nice if somebody who knows better than me could confirm this. I've never actually seen Black Kyoto "in vitro".

Had a bid on them because i too think they are New Kyoto (black) and quite rare in the big sizes.I asked the seller about shipping to uk and they said they would  if i had won the auction  Sad   not to be.

I also gave it a punt, but in the end was outbid by just $5  Sad  It was the first time I had seen New Kyoto Black on eBay but I have seen it once elsewhere. New Kyoto in blue or pink must be even rarer than black. I've never seen either.

There was a Black Kyoto paperweight on eBay a while ago, I think it was being sold by a shop, stayed on eBay for ages.
David posted some pictures of the whole range on the forum , earlier this year. It just looks quite different, glass completely changes character depending on lighting.

Hi
I noticed that someone has put a piece of Black kyoto on Ebay tonight but it doesn't look as nice as the piece that were being sold in America is it the same pattern and a bad photo or a different pattern?

Different lighting can make for a very different effect.

A lovely delicate Kyoto piece.  Must be very rare too.

I was the one to win the Foster Fernandez PB.  Grin I always thought that its colour was similar to New Kyoto Pink, but Alan's picture is very obviously bright pink. The Foster Fernandez piece has a very subtle pink tone, which I like.
